Learn about Art VolunTourism with Susan Clinthorne, artist/teacher
Volunteering abroad and at home has been one of the highlights of my art life. The opportunities have included Guatemala, where I taught at a school for HIV positive children, to a spontaneous watercolor class in a Tajik village in Uzbekistan.
I first joined the vibrant Ann Arbor area art community by becoming a member of AAWA. I am also a member of Chelsea Painters. I received a BFA from EMU 20 years ago.
I consider myself foremost a painter, but I also love to work with pastel, collage and installation. My “covid cure” has been working with flowers in the mediums of collage, mandalas, painting, and land art.
Please join me, as it is my great pleasure and honor to share a bit about my art/travel/volunteer experiences with you. Who knows? Maybe a trip will be in your future.
